Taoiseach Says ‘Every Effort’ Being Made For More Recruitment At Ennis Injury Unit

The Taoiseach says ‘every effort’ is being made to recruit more staff for the Ennis Injury Unit.

It follows the facility’s closure for a full day earlier this year due to staffing issues, with a new €2 million unit having been opened back in April.

Attendances at the facility were up 19 percent in the year to July, with May 2022 representing its busiest month on record.

Responding to questioning from Clare Independent TD Violet-Anne Wynne, Taoiseach Micheál Martin says the attempt to recruit staff there is continuing.
