Speed Of Health Reform Must Pick Up Substantially – Harty

Clare’s Independent TD is issuing a fresh call to the government to pick up the pace of reform within the health service substantially.

Dr Michael Harty has been reacting to an ESRI report, which shows that community health services in Clare are worse than any other county in the west of Ireland.

It further reveals that seven out of 10 health services here were at least 10% below the national average, while Limerick and Tipperary both performed significantly better.

But this report, coupled with the recent suggestion to dismantle the HSE, has led Dr Harty to issue a fresh call for the speed of reform.
