Serious Concern In Clare About Staffing Of Modular Unit At UHL

Serious concern is emerging over how the planned 60-bed modular unit at University Hospital Limerick will be staffed once it’s up and running.

Work is underway on the new unit, which is seen as key in tackling overcrowding at the region’s main hospital, and it’s due to open its doors by the end of this year.

Last evening’s meeting of the HSE’s Regional Health Forum West saw the HSE confirm that planning for recruitment of 140 staff is “at an advanced stage”.
