A plea is being made to Clare’s Dáil hopefuls to prioritise improvements in the health service in this region, if elected into Government.

An estimated 2,000 people from Clare, Limerick and Tipperary marched through Limerick city over the weekend, demanding a better health service in the Mid-West.

The Mid-West Hospital Campaign is calling for the government to re-open the Emergency Departments at Ennis, St John’s and Nenagh, and to declare the trolley crisis in UHL a national emergency.
