Community health campaigners across the Mid-West are coming together to fight for the restoration of local medical services.

The Mid-West Hospital Campaign group is calling for an end to overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick, the reversal of cuts to services, better conditions for health workers, and the reopening of local A&E’s at Ennis, Nenagh & St John’s.

The campaign which comprises members of the public, and an alliance of community groups, political parties and trade unions, will be launched tonight at the Mechanics Institute, Limerick and a day of action takes place in Ennis on Saturday.
