Government Must Be Honest About Mental Health Resources – Hillery

A prominent West Clare psychiatrist is calling on the government to be honest about the resources they have available to train mental health professionals.

Figures released to Fianna Fáil on the back of a Parliamentary Question reveal that there is no Child and Adoloscent Mental Health Intellectual Disability team in place across the Midwest.

In addition, the overall number of CAMHS staff in this region is less than two thirds the recommended amount.
