A Clare member of the HSE’s Regional Health Forum has expressed fears that trolley numbers at the region’s main hospital will only continue to grow.
Kilkee Councillor Cillian Murphy’s comments have come in light of a meeting between the UL Hospitals Group and elected representatives from the region, in which updates were given on activity within the group.
It comes on a week when trolley numbers at University Hospital Limerick hit a record-equalling 81. Today that number stands at 67.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Murphy says that while he’s somewhat more confident after speaking with the management team, he remains concerned about what’s to come in the months ahead.
