Council To Help Spread HPV Vaccine Message

Clare County Council is lending its support to an initiative of the family of the late Laura Brennan which continues to spread her message in support of the HPV vaccine.

Laura’s family have spear-headed an initiative whereby a logo in support of the HPV vaccine has been displayed on the training tops of over 80 GAA clubs, with ovre 5,000 tops distributed across the country and the world.

The campaign has been taken up by hundreds of people and now, following a suggestion from Clarecastle Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy, the Council’s offices are to be provided for a ‘jersey fitting’ day to encourage more teams and members of the public to get involved.

He expects the events will be held in the coming months.
