Construction Works Complete On New UHL Unit

Works have completed on the construction of a new 60-bed block at University Hospital Limerick.

However, it’s still not clear whether the facility will open this month or in December.

The government had previously suggested that the beds would open this coming Monday, but that won’t happen now and the UL Hospitals Group has only committed to it opening by the end of the year.

Now, in a fresh update and in response to a query from Senator Martin Conway, Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has outlined that building works have been completed but gave no firm opening date.
