Clare Government TD Calls On Health Minister To ‘Reflect’ Reconfiguration Of Hospital Services Hasn’t Worked

Clare’s Fianna Fail TD is calling on the Health Minister to ‘reflect’ on the suggestion that the reconfiguration of hospital services in the region hasn’t worked.

It’s after thousands of people across the Midwest have aired their views in recent days that the closing of Ennis, Nenagh and St John’s A&E’s back in 2009 was a mistake.

Cathal Crowe, along with Limerick TD Willie O’ Dea and Tipperary Deputy Jackie Cahill, has met with Minister Stephen Donnelly in recent days to air concerns about capacity at University Hospital Limerick.

Deputy Crowe, who’s a member of the Oireachtas Health Committee, wants the Health Minister to admit reconfiguring the region’s services was a mistake.
