Clare Campaigner Says Slaintecare Has ‘No Hope’ Without Terminally Ill Medical Card Reform

A prominent Clare campaigner believes Slaintecare becoming operational doesn’t have ‘a hope’ without full access to medical card reform for the terminally ill.

The Department of Health published a report from the HSE’s clinical advisory group on the issue nearly a year ago, though a number of its findings have yet to be implemented.

That report implied full access to the facility would be far more likely if Slaintecare became successfully operational, though that plan’s implementation group has seen two resignations in recent weeks.
