Calls For 96-Bed Block At UHL To Be Fast Tracked As Funding Confirmed

The Health Minister is being warned that he cannot rest on his laurels, and that more beds need to be provided at the region’s main hospital.

Clare’s Fine Gael TD Joe Carey has confirmed that funding for design work on a news 96-bed block at University Hospital Limerick is in place in the HSE’s Capital Plan for 2021.

It’s hoped these beds can further ease chronic overcrowding at Dooradoyle.
