68 On Trolleys At UHL

Hospital trolleys

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is on the rise once again.

The latest figures from the INMO show 68 patients were left waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 32 of those in the emergency department alone.

The overall figure is a rise of 4 on yesterday’s figure.

It means the Dooradoyle facility is the busiest in the country today, followed closely by Cork University Hospital.
