Hospital trolleys

University Hospital Limerick remains the busiest in the country once again today.

66 patients were left waiting on trolleys at the Dooradoyle facility this morning, according to the latest INMO figures, 36 of those in the Emergency Department alone.

It comes on a week when the UL Hospitals Group has urged patients not to attend the ED unless it’s an emergency, to visit your GP or GP out of hours service in the first instance, and to utilise the Injuries unit at Ennis General Hospital.
