63 On Trolleys At University Hospital Limerick

Hospital trolleys

Nurses say the region’s main hospital remains the most overcrowded in the country once again today.

The latest INMO figures show 63 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 30 of those in the emergency department alone.

The overall figure is 15 more than the next busiest facility, Cork University Hospital and comes on a day when 482 people have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
