63 Patients On Trolleys At UHL Today

Nurses at the region’s main hospital have recorded the highest trolley numbers in the country once again today, on a week when high levels of overcrowding has persisted.

63 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, according to the latest INMO figures, 35 of those in the emergency department.

The overall figure is 15 more than the next busiest facility, University Hospital Galway, and comes on a day when 409 patients have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
