54 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital

There’s been a dip in the level of overcrwoding at the region’s main hospital today.

But University Hospital Limerick is still the busiest in the country today, with 54 patients on trolleys, according to the latest INMO figures.

31 of those were waiting for a bed in the Emergency Department, with the remaining 23 being accommodated in overflow areas of wards.
