The Health Minister is being urged to spend time on a hospital trolley at University Hospital Limerick, in order to witness conditions there first hand.

It follows several reports of overcrowding in the region's main accident and emergency department, and figures from the INMO which have recorded an 18% increase in the number of patients on trolleys there.
Labour MEP Phil Prendergast, a former Midwife, says the embargo on recruitment needs to be lifted immediately to help tackle the issue.
