Health Minister Says Its Clear Not Enough Resources Given To Midwest At Time Of Reconfiguration

The Health Minister says it’s clear that the UL Hospitals Group wasn’t given the resources it needed at the time of reconfiguration.

Stephen Donnelly met with the HSE earlier this week and has now sanctioned a specialist team to work with management at University Hospital Limerick to solve issues leading to chronic overcrowding there.

Minister Donnelly says most of the solutions lie in community healthcare or further upstream in terms of beds, diagnostics and workforce.
