The Health Minister says he fears that the re-configuration of Shannondoc services in Clare could add to the overcrowding problem at University Hospital Limerick.

Minister Simon Harris has endorsed the fears expressed by many in the wake of Shannondoc's decision to scale back the out-of-hours GP service in Kilrush, Ennistymon and Kilalloe.
His comments to the Oireachtas Health Committee come ahead of a public meeting on the issue in Kilrush tonight.
Minister Harris has cited Shannondoc as a concern as he evaluated levels of overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick.
