The Minister for Health James Reilly has defended a Department of Health decision to sign an indemnity deal with the makers of the Pandemrix swine flu vaccine.
27 cases of narcolepsy have been confirmed in Ireland – as a result of the jab – with most of these cases among children and teenagers.
Minister James Reilly says he isn’t ruling anything in – or out – when it comes to compensation for those effected.
But he says signing the deal – which happened before his time in office – was the right thing to do.
