Health And Safety Authority Continue Probe Into Shannon Workplace Incident

The Health and Safety Authority is continuing to investigate an incident at a factory in Shannon, in which two men sustained serious burn injuries.

The men, both in their forties, were airlifted to Cork University Hospital last evening after the accident which occurred at Thormac in the Shannon Industrial Estate.

They're said to be in a stable condition there this afternoon.

Thormac say this is the first serious incident of its kind at the custom plastics manufacturers in their near forty years in Shannon.
