The head of the HSE’s Child and Family Services says he is "quite sure" that the Gardai acted in good faith in removing two Roma children from their families.

The handling of the incidents in Athlone and Tallaght have prompted two separate reports which are being prepared for the Ombudsman for Children.
Both children were subsequently returned to their families.
Gordon Jeyes – who will head up the new Child and Family Support Agency – says he’s awaiting the outcome of the inquiries.
