A musical group including a world-famous traditional musician from East Clare has won the Meteor Choice Music Prize album of the year.

The Gloaming, which counts noted fiddler Martin Hayes amongst its members, claimed the prestigious prize at a ceremony in Dublin last night.
Judges focus just on music instead of airplay or sales, but The Gloaming couldn't pick up their prize last night as they're currently touring Australia.
