A herd of goats which had been wreaking havoc in a South East Clare village have been removed after a local community effort.
The eight goats, which no-one claimed responsibility for, have been cause for concern since they arrived in Ardnacrusha last Sunday, after they began scaling walls of people’s homes and eating hedges.

Last evening, residents came together with Gardaí and rounded up the aminals before they were transported to south Munster by a Cork-based company which has a contract with Clare County Council.
Local Fianna Fáil Councillor Cathal Crowe says it was a big ordeal.
