The Irish Road Haulage Association is awaiting a decision by Minister Michael Noonan on an Essential User Fuel Rebate for the Haulage Industry to sustain jobs in the transport sector, and protect Irish exports.
They’ve told him the move could actually generate revenue for Ireland, as a fuel rebate would see more truck drivers filling up at home instead of buying fuel abroad as many do at present, and could help eliminate fuel laundering.
