It’s claimed many of Clare’s Post Offices could have been saved from closure, had An Post advertised the contract at the time of closing.
Clare’s Independent TD Michael Harty is concerned that a number of the branches that have already closed in this county did so without the knowledge of the wider community.
Last week saw news emerge that 14 Post Offices around Clare have been offered voluntary redundancies by An Post, among 400 nationally.
