Harty Expects At Least Another Week Of Talks

Clare's Independent TD says he expects the talks between Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael to continue for at least another week. 

It's now looking increasingly likely that tomorrow's planned vote in the Dáil to try and elect a Taoiseach will be deferred.

The parties are considering the move as efforts continue to try and form a minority Government and Sinn Féin says it will put forward a motion to postpone the vote if the result is going to be inconclusive. 

Dr Michael Harty says everyone is waiting for the outcome of the talks, but that we may be left waiting for a while yet.
