Clare's Independent TD, Dr Michael Harty believes the US President's immigration ban will cause huge issues for Shannon Airport.
The US Embassy has confirmed that the 90-day ban preventing people from entering the US on grounds of their nationality or the fact they're refugees is being implemented at US pre-clearance facilities at Shannon and Dublin Airports.
It's led to outrage from some groups, including ShannonWatch, which is taking part in a planned protest at the mid-west Airport from 6pm on Thursday.
