Clare’s Independent TD is calling for the speedy passing of the so-called Alcohol Bill.
Part of the bill would include a introducing minimum unit price for alcohol in shops, as well as changes to advertising laws and labelling regulations.
Health Minister Simon Harris says he hopes the bill will pass through all stages of the Oireachtas in the autumn.
