Clare's Independent TD believes TDs and Senators should forgo salary increases until other public sector workers have their pay restored.

Speaking during a Dail debate on the issue Dr. Michael Harty has claimed its unacceptable that public representatives would benefit from reversals of FEMPI pay reductions while workers are engaging in industrial action.
Gardai and teachers have already taken part in such action over pay while nurses are also to be balloted.
And Deputy Harty says doctors have been hit in the pocket in recent years as well.
