Harris Vows To Eliminate Cervical Cancer

Health Minister Simon Harris has vowed to eradicate cervical cancer within a generation in honour of Laura Brennan.

He’s again paid tribute to the late Enniswoman, saying the recent uptake for the HPV vaccine is a testament to her bravery, courage and kindness.

Writing for The Irish Sun, Minister Harris calls out what he regards as “misinformation and nonsense” surrounding vaccines, and says all of society must work together to fight it.

He says he plans to raise the issue with European Health Ministers this month, as part of efforts to wipe out cervical cancer in the coming decades.
