Harris Dismisses Claims Overcrowding Crisis Is Worsening

The Minister for Health is dismissing claims the hospital overcrowding crisis is getting worse.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says this year has broken the record for the largest number of people waiting on trolleys, with more than 100,000 patients waiting for beds in hospitals so far in 2018.

University Hospital Limerick is suffering the highest level of overcrowding in the country once again today, with 48 people left waiting on trolleys, 25 of those in the emergency department.
