Half A Million Euro Granted For Rural Water Schemes In Clare

Just under half a million euro of government funding has been announced for rural water schemes throughout Clare.

The funding is part of a 20 million euro Government Programme that seeks to fund improvement works on group water schemes and group sewerage schemes.

It will also provide grants for households to upgrade private wells and septic tanks.

440,000 euro will be spent in these areas, which Fine Gael TD Joe Carey says can benefit areas including Carhucore/Ogonolloe, Kilnaboy and Ranaghan.

A further 31 thousand euro has been allocated for works on the Beechwood Lawn/Bodyke and Killone Group Water Schemes.
