All eyes are on the skies this morning, in the hope that we will get a glimpse of the deepest solar eclipse here since 1999.

The moon will block over 90 per cent of the sun – but there are concerns the view could be obscured by cloud.
However, we should still notice the effects – it will become colder and birds and animals are likely to go quiet as darkness falls.
If the skies do clear up, people are urged not to look directly at the sun as this can lead to lasting damage.
