Clare County Council has given the go ahead for the construction of two new housing developments in the county town.
The approved projects will include twelve social housing units.
Hasset Leydon and Associates on behalf of their client Gildoc LTD lodged their initial application for the delivery of a social housing development on the Clon Road in Ennis on the 4th of May this year.
The project will consist of twelve new housing units in total, comprised of two blocks of six two-bedroom apartments and will be serviced by a new connection to public water mains.
The 928sq metre site will be furnished with sixteen parking spaces and two electric vehicle charging points, while the scheme will also provide individual high speed broadband connections.
Elsewhere on the Clare Road, Gildoc LTD has also received approval from Clare County Council this week for the development of seven new housing units at Abbey Court on the Clare Road.
The project is set to deliver one two bed and six three bed properties, while a new connection will be established to the public water mains.
While a total of seventeen parking spaces will be provided for the future residents.
Both developments have been granted approval subject to nineteen conditions respectively.
