Clare County Council has granted planning permission to allow for the construction of a solar farm near Kilkee.
Reeve West Limited have been given the go-ahead to construct an array of solar panels on over 9 acres of land at Dough, Lisdeen in Termon West.

The local authority has attached 19 conditions to the project, which include a direction that the developers repair any roads damaged during construction.
Planning permission has been granted for a period of ten years.
