1-thousand-200 construction jobs and 1-thousand-500 full time jobs will be created in phase one of a massive new development for Co. Westmeath, which has been given the go ahead.

An Bord Pleanala has given conditional approval for development to proceed on phase one of the Euro Chinese Trading Hub at Creggan near Athlone.
The enormous project with a price tag of 175 million euro will act as a showcase facility for Chinese companies to display their goods and services to European buyers.
When completed – the international trade and commerce centre will include nine exhibition halls, and nine smaller independent exhibition buildings, offices, administrative services, hotels, shops, restaurants, pubs, a school and train station.
