An Bord Pleanála has approved Clare County Council’s proposal to provide over 300 additional grave plots in Drumcliffe Cemetery in Ennis.
The development will also involve improvement works to the Saint Brigid’s- Section E of the cemetery.
The expansion will deliver 350 new double plots along with provisions for ash plots along with the inclusion of a columbarium and rememberance garden.

Access to the cemetery will also be improved under the planned works with the additions of lay-bys and a turning circle while additional parking and footpaths will also be provided.
