Best practice in the care and conservation of graveyards will be outlines at a workshop in Clare today.

The event, which is being hosted by Clare County Council together with Clare Roots, is being held at Kilkishen Cultural Centre today as part of a two-phase programme informing people of recommendations by the Heritage Council.
Later in the summer a follow-up event on the transcription and recording of genealogical information will be presented.
The workshop will focus on a number of themes including legislative protections and building conservation, biodiversity in graveyards and successful community initiatives.
