A local community in south-east Clare has secured grant funding to restore one of its most popular amenities.
Due to the extensive use of some areas of the Seanchoill playground, parts of the recreational space have been closed off to facilitate repair works.

A grant of €6,000 has been awarded the local community to carry out these works and return the entire site to full working order.
Westbury Sinn Fein councillor, James Ryan, is hopeful the parts of the playground that are currently closed will be reopened in the coming weeks.
