A Clare GP is reminding the public to be considerate of vulnerable people in social settings amid a recent surge of patients reporting symptoms of Covid-19.
It comes as the HSE has recorded an increase in cases of the virus leading to hospital admissions countrywide.
All community testing centres stood down in April, with only healthcare workers, GPs and private companies administering PCR tests, and eight covid cases were confirmed using this method in Clare just last week.
Ennis Medical Centre GP, Fergus Glynn doesn’t believe there is any cause for alarm, but says those experiencing respiratory difficulties and flu like symptoms should still take precautionary measures.
