A Clare Government TD has written to the Department of Transport over what’s been described as an “insult to the people of this county”.
It’s after Clare was allocated just €408,000 of an over €60m budget for national secondary roads across the country.

Clare’s national secondary network is 184km long and includes heavily trafficked tourist arteries such as the N67,N68 and N85.
Bodyke Fine Gael Deputy Joe Cooney says it’s nowhere near good enough.
