Government Working To Identify Vacant Houses

The government’s warning people with vacant houses that it’s moving quickly to identify them.

It’s provided an update today on the progress it’s made so far, including establishing an empty homes unit and ensuring local authorities have dedicated officers to deal with the issue.

There’s also a website where people can anonymously log suspected vacant properties, so local authorities can then follow up with the owners.
