Government urged to reverse CE cuts

 

The government has been asked to reverse budget cuts to community employment schemes which are seen as a lifeline for many Clare Communities.

Clare Councillors have expressed the fear that tidy towns projects, community social schemes will suffer and local towns and villages could fall into disrepair due to the cuts announced in the budget, which will reduce allowances for training and materials for C.E schemes by two thirds.
