Government Urged To Back Measures Which Could See Thousands Of Jobs Created In Clare

The Government is being urged to back measures which it's claimed could create thousands of jobs in the tourism sectror in Clare.

The Irish Hotels Federation have published their Tourism Policy Document, which outlines 4 key points that could be used to attracted extra visitor numbers. 

These include keeping running costs low for businesses, restoring marketing funding to 2008 levels, the allocation of extra money for infrastructure and investment in skills and training. 

It's hoped these measures could create almost 7 and a half thousand jobs in Clare and Lahinch hotelier Michael Vaughan, a former President of the IHF, says there are plenty of areas across the county that need investment.
