The Government's being urged to abolish the mandatory retirement age.

Labour TD Anne Ferris is putting forward legislation to scrap the requirement for people to stop work at 65. 

It's not being opposed by the coalition – but may not become law before the general election. 

The Wicklow deputy says she hopes there's enough time left in the coalition to see this law changed.
