Government Urged To Tackle Entire Housing Crisis

MidWest Simon says an increase in the number of new homes built here won’t solve the housing crisis alone.

It comes as the government is urged to consider a ‘game-changing’ new semi-state agency that could build thousands of new units a year.

The model has been proposed by the Nevin Economic Research Institute who say it could build 70,000 new homes in its first five years and would be funded by the NTMA.
