The government will launch a new scheme later today to help get unemployed people back to work.

‘JobsPlus’ aims to provide a programme of financial support for employers who recruit people who are experiencing long term unemployment.
It replaces the Revenue Job Assist and Employer Job Exemption Scheme.
Regular cash payments will be made to qualifying employers to offset wage costs where they employ eligible job seekers.
Employers who recruit full time employees may apply for the incentive, which will initially operate on a pilot basis.
