The Gort-Tuam motorway is set to come a step closer today as government ministers are to finalise a major stimulus program

I’s reported that the program will be worth over 2 billion euro, with funds sourced from the sale of state assets, private sources, the national pension reserve and the European Investment Bank.
As well as the extentsion to the M18, investment in health and extra school developments are also set to be included in the measures.
Ministers are due to sign off on the package at this morning’s cabinet meeting, and the Taoiseach, Tanaiste and Minister for Public Expenditure are expected to outline details later.
